As the debate rages on over whether Idris Elba should be cast as the first ever black James Bond, he's landed some high-profile support in the form of Kanye West.
The outspoken rapper, 37, insists that 42-year-old Idris would be perfect for the coveted role, currently held by Daniel Craig, branding the possibility 'visionary' casting.
He told The Sun: 'I know Idris a little bit and he is a big talent. The movies he has been making are special, and when the role for James Bond comes up it needs to be his.
'Artists should be visionaries. A black James Bond would be visionary no doubt. Something that 30 years ago would have seemed crazy should now be something that is a real possibility.'
While some have argued that Idris could never portray the famous spy because he's black, the actor finally spoke up over the weekend when he shared a humorous selfie.

The British actor posted a picture of himself to Twitter with the message: 'Isn't 007 supposed to handsome? Glad you think I've got a shot! Happy New year people.'
The subject of the next 007 became a global debate after leaked emails from the Sony hack suggested Idris could take over from Daniel Craig.
Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal allegedly told a top executive at Columbia Pictures, which distributes the Bond films, that 'Idris should be the next Bond'.
