With the holidays finishing fast and 7th January the date he is due to return to training with Cruzeiro,Lucas Silvais still dreaming of the Whites. In comments to Globoesporte he said, "A lot has been said about me and about Real Madrid's interest. The market in Europe opens in January and from that point on anything could happen".
Lucas Silva makes no secret of the fact that playing forReal Madrid, besides being a huge step forward in his career, would be a dream come true, although he admits that nothing has been settled: "What I can say is that nothing has been decided. I'm a Cruzeiro player, I had a really good year and anything could still happen. I've got my aims and objectives. Playing for Real Madrid is a dream and in my thinking it would be a step forward".
One thing that is true is that he won't leave Cruzeiro on just any terms. If the clubs don't reach an agreement he'll have another year in Brazil: "There needs to be an agreement which benefits me and Cruzeiro, but I'm relaxed. I'm in a fantastic team and I want to carry on making history".
The player knows he can continue to develop with Cruzeiro. He comes off the back of a spectacular season and his value in 2014 has gone up by 589 per cent. According to a study by the Brazilian consulting company Pluri.
