La Liga leads the world being the strongest league

La Liga has once again taken the prize for being the strongest league in the world, according to the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS), after the organisation named it the best national league in 2013.
The Spanish league racked up 1,259 points in the IFFHS ranking for 2014, ahead of Italy (998), England (958), Argentina (938), Germany (912), Brazil (893) and France (871).
The top seven leagues for 2014 are the same as the ones in 2013, but last time England came in second place, ahead of Germany, Italy, Brazil, Argentina and France.
According to the IFFHS, La Liga retains the top spot based on the results in the competition itself, but also based on the performances of Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, Barcelona and Sevilla in international competitions.
