She has earned herself a reputation as something of a recluse, rarely stepping out in public despite her huge success in showbiz.
But on Saturday, it looked as though British singer Adele was gearing up to get back in the spotlight, as she returned to Los Angeles off a flight from London.
Adele, 26, - who recently denied rumours that her relationship with boyfriend Simon Konecki, 40, was on the rocks - was pictured wearing a silver band back on her wedding finger, as she ran her fingers through her sleek new hairdo.
Simon however, was nowhere to be seen as Adele was helped by a security minder.
She was last pictured in London on 28 December without the ring on her finger (which she has been seen wearing before) and the pair were rumoured to have tied the knot at one stage. However, Adele quashed the reports, later tweeting: 'I'm not married...Zzzzzzz.'
Dressed all in black, with designer shades and holding her two-year-old son Angelo, it certainly looked as though the singer has arrived for a business trip.
Adele's highly anticipated follow-up to her 30 million selling second album 21, is expected to be released this year, so it is entirely plausible that singer has landed in LA to meet with her US record company.
Her third album is rumoured to be titled 25, after the singer posted a cryptic message to her fans last year, revealing: 'Bye bye 25...see you again later this year'.
But her record company XL then later released a statement that there would be no new music from the star in 2014, suggesting the project had been delayed.
While she has stayed silent on any news of the record, Adele did take to Twitter recently to deny the Sun On Sunday report that she and Simon were living apart.
